The Burway by bike, Long Mynd. On 1920s OS map.

If you don’t know the Burway you should make a point of making your way, up or down it one day. Whether you decide to drive, walk or fly down it on a bike with your brakes squeezed on hard and making barely any difference - is up to you.

The Burway is a road.
A narrow road.
A beautiful road.
A scary road.
A road you’ll be surprised is in England as it climbs and falls and weaves precariously close to the edge over the Long Mynd in Shropshire.

This print is an attempt to map my memory of the Burway but is also about getting out exploring on a bike. Some of the map key can be read through the road in the illustration and the piece of the key that showed through was about steep gradients on roads - particularly apt as any cyclist will know and especially on the Burway.....

Limited edition of 85.

These are slightly more expensive than some of my other prints as they are from a smaller limited edition.

This print is available framed or unframed and you can also decide whether you would like it mounted in an off-white mount.

If you select ‘30x40cm print’ then you will receive a limited edition print. It is a high quality, fade resistant print. It is printed using ultrachrome ink on tiziano acid free paper.

If you select ‘Mounted print’ then you will receive the print hung in an off-white mount ready to frame. The mounted dimensions of the unframed print are 40x50 cms which means you can buy a frame from a shop rather than have one made, should you wish.

If you select ‘Framed print’ then you will receive a print, hung in a mount and framed ready to hang on the wall. The frame can be either a wood effect square edged frame or black metal edge, as shown in the photos. The frames have an acrylic front rather than glass so are suitable for sending in the post.

Hope you like it.
Thanks for looking.
Chris
