On a train home with the Sun in my eyes

As the rays of winter sunlight hit my back they remind me of home, for a moment.
I book a train ticket home and as I sit by the window and the train starts to roll, pictures of; the town and buildings, the sea, people, winter sunlight and snippets of conversations - from so many years ago - start to take form again.
They now fill the pages of this book as maps, rhythms, illustrations, words and of course - winter sunshine.

It is utterly beautiful. Just wonderful - true and clear and brilliant. I love everything about it.” Nicola Davies, Laureate for Wales

If youve read a book by Chris Snow before you will know you are in for a creative treat. There is nothing quite like them. Magical

This is quite a big book at just under 21x30cm and 124 pages. The paper is lovely and thick and untreated so it has a nice matt feel. The book is printed by a company who seem to have a really good approach to their environmental and sustainability responsibilities. Your book will be sent carefully packaged in a strong cardboard book mailer and with my sincere gratitude.

You can save save 10% and also £4.95 on extra postage if you buy this and my other book from this series, called 'It started with the Starlings'- or any two books at the same time. See the options when you order. Hope this sounds good.

Thanks very much for your support

Chris

P.S.

On a train home with the Sun in my eyes

is about:

The Sun

Having a beach to yourself in winter

Being young

Getting older

The view from the window of a train

The islands close to the Arctic known as Britain

A town where people go to recover

A recovering town

Letting your mind wander

The sea

Art

A Black Backed Gull

Rock pools as entire universes

Things that make you smile*

[1] smile (verb)

To turn up the corners of the mouth when pleased or being friendly. Sometimes showing teeth.

[2] smile (an emotional state particular to humans):

The smiles you do not realise you are making when you forget everything as you are lost in the moment enjoying your place in the universe.
